The Online Profile Management system provides the coastal community with information critical to understanding temporal and spatial variability in coastal systems. Tools are available for logging into the system; loading, viewing, analyzing, and managing regionl profile data; creating new benchmarks; and exporting the data into comma-delimited or RMAP files. |

The South Carolina-Georgia Coastal Erosion Study is a collaborative effort between researchers from the USGS, Coastal Carolina University, University of South Carolina, College of Charleston, and the South Carolina Sea Grant Consortium aimed at understanding the process of coastal erosion and the factors that affect erosion rates along the SC/GA coasts. |
| Rising Tide |

Using the methodology and data from their experience, the teams will design discovery- and inquiry-based classroom activities for high school students that emphasize hypothesis testing, data manipulation and interpretation. Activities will be designed in a Web-based format, tested and assessed in the classroom and then incorporated into the South Carolina Aquarium’s statewide aquatic curriculum, which is accessible through its Web site.
